In 2000 the Club announced their intention to redevelop Bloomfield Road, into a new 16,000 all seated stadium. Phase one of the project was completed in February 2002, with the opening of the new North & West Stands. Phase two, the rebuilding of the South & East Stands, is yet to begin however the South Stand has been knocked down.

The west(The Pricebusters Stanley Matthews Stand) and south stands are located at one side of the ground and are both singled tiered and fully seated. Above the seats on both stands are executive boxes.

On the two other sides of the ground both of the old stands have been demolished with a temporary away stand with a 2000 capacity being built in there place. Its open air so theres always a chance the away fans get soaked!
The south stand has yet to be constructed, although office space has been sold for the stand.

Away Fans Info
Opposite the pool main car park, thre is a large odeon cinema coplex, but also a large pub, an italian restaurant and a Mcdonalds, within the site. However these may be expensive so, the best solution would be head into Blackpool center as Bloomfield Road is sat right on the coast, the 'Old Bridge House' is the best and most popular pub with the tangerine fans. The Albert is also a good pub, specializing in live music entertainment most nights.

Car Parking: There is a large (3,000 space) pay-and-display adjacent to the ground (Rigby Car Park), which is cheap and easy to getaway from (£2ish in ‘high season’; £1ish in ‘low season’). Some on-street parking is also available.

Nearest Railway Station: Blackpool South Shore/Blackpool North (01772 259349)
